This historical document is from colonial era Massachussets circa 1772.
Our reversable frame accommodates 8ply rag board and museum glass on each side.
The finished piece can be displayed on a stand or hung on the wall with a decorative chain attached to hardware on the top.
The reverse side of each piece of these documents.
The framing of this letter, written by Alfred Lord Tennyson to Walt Whitman on July 12, 1871 is one of our recent commissions. The owner of this valuable piece wanted to be able to see each side of the letter easily and have it on premanent display.
Our frame in reversable and virtually identical on each side.
The extra wide rabbit conseals the archival mats which hold the letter in place. Museum glass completes the package.
Dorothea has just finished her own needlework project from a kit that had been sitting for ages (we all have a few of those!). This one is packaged from a company called "Dimensions, Inc". If you want to know more ask me at our Open House and I will give you the info that I have.
The size is 13 x 36 and it is framed with:
4ply rag mat with 26 windows lined with paper
Next, an 8ply rag mat bordering the entire multi-window area.

A classic gold and wood frame
This piece is in progress.
The stitching is complete, also done by Dorothea from a kit, but as you can see it desperarely needs blocking. Dorothea has done this for clients' work for years and now has gotten a few pieces done which you can see on display at our home studio.
Scroll down, the next image is the blocking in progress.
The blocking process continues with washing the piece, stretching it over a board or frame and allowing it to dry in place.
Museum Glass protects your art from damaging UV light and with its anti-reflective property you see all the detail.
Your art collection and family heirlooms deserve archival care in their presentation so they will be preserved as an investment for the future. We know how to help you save the pieces so you can cherish the memories.
